Love Builder Non-Profit Society is striving to create awareness and establish a custom of respecting and caring for seniors amongst the younger generation through our Love Caravan Intergenerational Program. In 2021, we are pushing to upgrade our annual Cross-Canada program. We sincerely welcome youth talents to join us for planning a better intergenerational public event across Canada. As a management team member, the Human Resource Specialist plays an essential role in assisting Love Caravan’s team with employee and volunteer recruitment, record maintenance, payroll processing, and providing clerical support to all employees. We’re looking for a take-charge, perceptive and creative individual who is a conceptual thinker with superb organizational, time management, administrative, and communication skills.

What We're Looking For:

  • Developed outreaching skills, sponsorship development experience, and established technical writing ability are preferred.

  • Proof of formal training (certificates, diplomas, class credits, etc.) in public relations, communication, marketing, or another relevant field; or experience on corporation level is an asset, but not mandatory.

  • Confidence when speaking publicly, with an enthusiastic presence on stage. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills(both written and oral). Bilingual a plus.

  • Ability to work well both independently and collaboratively with strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills. Proven ability to develop, implement, and execute successful public relations campaigns.

  • Familiar with the geographical public middle/high schools, communities, governmental system, companies and medium in Canada.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint). Proficient in the use of standard PR applications and tools

  • Good understanding of media relations and event marketing, love being on camera.

  • Great reliability, detail and target-oriented, team attitude coupled with a flexible, “can do” attitude. The ability to take initiative when required is an ideal quality!

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Matching our program with potential compatible sponsors and partners as well as develop and nurture a good relationship.

  • Developing, implementing, and managing our public relations strategies, plans and campaigns. This role will be the main point of contact for collaborations, negotiating contracts, managing budgets, and overseeing timelines and deliverables.

  • Helping our program connect well with a wide range of stakeholders, such as the younger generation, senior communities, the media and companies, etc.

  • Developing processes to research, identify, secure and manage key relationships to support Love Caravan’s annual program operation.

  • Developing and implementing communications strategies and campaigns across a variety of mediums. Arranging various campus seminars and presentations, news conferences, interviews and other special events.

  • Preparing reports, presentations, press releases, correspondences, and other materials related to public relations and marketing materials.

  • Identifying speaking and exposure opportunities and executing publicity stunts to get more social attention when building our program’s public presence and reputation.

  • Monitoring, collating, and analyzing media output and trends for the Love Caravan program. Evaluating and providing insight regarding the effectiveness of communication activities.
